Spanish Gas Demand to Rise 11% Above Normal Next Week

Spain’s conventional natural gas demand is expected to rise 11% above normal during next week’s cold spell, TSO Enagas said.

  • Conventional demand – including consumption from households, industry and CHP plants – was set to reach 3,709GWh from Monday to Thursday, or 355 GWh above normal.
  • Temperatures in Madrid are forecast to fall below the seasonal norm throughout the two-week forecast period. Minimum temperatures in Madrid are forecast to fall down to -7.2 °C next week.
