Spreads favour high European LNG imports

JKM prices fall near to the 8th Mar dip which is lowest since Sep 21

  • JKM prices have fallen more than TTF today helping to encourage LNG flows to Europe. The JKM discount to TTF has moved from 4.6$/mmbtu to 7.7$/mmbtu.
  • The US netbacks for Jul are now 20.17$/mmbtu to Europe and 10.39$/mmbtu to Asia according to Bloomberg data.
  • LNG imports into European ports have been at record levels recently. Imports should stay high with spreads in favour of flows to Europe and with at least 10 more cargoes expected to arrive before the end of the month.
