Spreads Still Favour Europe as TTF and JKM Set Record Highs

High LNG imports into Europe as global gas market prices set record highs

  • Both TTF and JKM front month contracts set new highs yesterday with TTF at 242.225€/MWh and JKM at 57.6$/mmbtu. The spread is still showing TTF about 14$/mmbtu higher. TTF is trading above JKM for most of the forward curve and especially out to Win24.
  • The US netback to Europe and Asia have both increased to 61.34$/mmbtu and 46.27$/mmbtu after a pull back in US Natgas from a peak on Wednesday.
  • Net LNG imports into Europe are back up near 200mcm/d in recent days having dipped slightly late last week.
