State Department Press Conference Underway Shortly

State Department Spokesperson Ned Price is shortly due to deliver his regular press conference from the Department of State.

• Comes as North Korea reacts belligerently to joint US-South Korea military maneuvers around the Korean Peninsula.
• US National Security Council Spokesperson John Kirby said earlier today that the DPRK has launched missiles below the de facto maritime border with the Republic of Korea but launches "did not pose an immediate threat to our homeland or to US personnel."
• Kirby also said that North Korea is “covertly supplying Russia’s war in Ukraine with a significant number of artillery shells, while obfuscating the shipments, by making it appear they are going to countries in the Middle East, and North Africa."
• Tensions around Korea are expected to remain elevated until the completion of military exercises on Friday.
