G10 FX space has struggled for a clear direction in early Asia-Pac trade, with eyes on the remaining battleground U.S. states which are yet to be called. AUD went offered ahead of the release of the RBA's latest SoMP (no shocks there), with the local press pointing to the escalation in Sino-Australian tensions.

  • AUD is the worst G10 performer, closely followed by CAD, while NZD & NOK sit atop the pile. USD/JPY has pushed higher, but remained below the key Y104.00 mark so far.
  • USD/CNH continues to operate just above multi-month lows. The rate bottomed out just north of the psychological CNH6.6000 mark this morning, printing a fresh cycle trough. The PBoC fix is coming up shortly.
  • U.S. NFP report, Canadian jobs data, German & Norwegian industrial outputs, Italian retail sales and comments from BoC's Macklem & ECB's Holzmann take focus today.
