Stocks in Solid Start to the Week

EQUITIES

European stocks are in the green across the board, with Italy's FTSE-MIB outperforming on signs that PM-designate Draghi is garnering decent support from parliamentarians ahead of a second round of talks with lawmakers later today.

German and Spanish indices lag slightly, but both still remain in the green, with the materials and financials sectors underpinning today's strength, while real estate and utilities are the only sectors in the red so far today.

US futures are again at all time highs, with the e-mini S&P touching 3900.50 in Asia-Pac hours. With earnings season now come and gone, the majority of firms in the US have beaten forecasts on both EPS and revenue metrics, further supporting the index. Another 8% of the S&P 500 report this week. Highlights here: https://roar-assets-auto.rbl.ms/documents/8060/MNIUSEARNINGS080221.pdf
