Strike Action Reduces Nuclear Output By 3.74GW Tuesday Afternoon

Industrial action at EdF’s nuclear fleet in France has reduced nuclear generation capacity by 3.74GW, or around 6.1% of capacity, on Tuesday afternoon and evening, EdF remit data show.

  • Output has been reduced at the Cruas 2, Civaux 1, Flamanville 2, Tricastin 1, Tricastin 4 and Gravelines 5 reactors.
  • Hydropower generation has been curbed by 6.21GW.
  • Strike action is currently scheduled to end Tuesday evening, EdF said.
