Suez Canal tanker transits have decreased 14% since diversions commenced falling as low as 15 per day in late December according to Kpler.

  • Transit numbers have seen a recent uptick but remains below pre-diversion averages.
  • Risks persist but a steady flow of traffic through the Red Sea is supported by the naval task force despite sporadic incidents.
  • The expectation is for ongoing but slightly reduced transits with as a further decline seeming unlikely.
