Supply Disruption to Europe Continues

NATURAL GAS

TTF gas trading higher once again with ongoing supply disruption from Russia since mid month and with now sign of an increase in flows. Europe are also concerned flows will not return following a period of planned maintenance from 11th to 21st Jul.

  • Adding to the upward pressure on prices is the delay to the return of the US Freeport LNG export terminal following the fire in early June. Partial operation is now expected in October instead of September with full operations still not expected until the end of the year.
  • Flows through Nord Stream are nominated at 64.7mcm/d with flows through Ukraine via Sudzha at 42.1.
  • Norwegian supply is unchanged at 321.7mcm/d and storage levels are up to 57.9%.
  • TTF up 3.6% to 149.71€/MWh.
