Suspicious Incident in Red Sea: UKMTO

UKMTO has received report from a vessel sighting three small craft each with three persons onboard as well as one large craft around 175 nm east of Qalhat LNG terminal, it said in a post.

  • The reporting vessel assessed the sighting as suspicious, and the report was corroborated by a third party.
  • The incident took place Feb. 23 at around 12:00 UTC
  • The UKMTO advised vessels to transit the area with caution and report any suspicious activity.
