OIL: Sverdrup Production Returning Following Power Blip

Equinor has restored partial Sverdrup oil production following a power outage on Tuesday the company reports.

  • "Power was restored during the afternoon (on Tuesday), and procedures to restart production were initiated in the evening," the company spokesperson said.
  • "Production at Johan Sverdrup resumed overnight, and we are now working toward achieving full production capacity," he added.
  • Production at Sverdrup was also halted last week due to power issues.
