Swaps Tighten, Curve Twist Flattens

JGB bulls managed to consolidate most of the early bid in futures, hitting the lunch bell +12, even as support in the front-end to belly of the cash curve waned, allowing some light twist flattening, despite the impending round of 30-Year supply. Swaps were generally tighter across the curve, with the swap space bull flattening.

  • Little to add to earlier bullets, outside of BoJ dovish dissenter Kataoka reiterating his well-known views, while some of the candidates in the ruling LDP Party's leadership race re-affirmed their own core views.
