Sweden’s 1.17GW Nuclear Unit Offline in Unplanned Outage

Swedish firm Vattenfall’s 1.17GW Forsmark unit 3 unexpectedly disconnected from the grid at 10:40CET today, with the unit anticipated to be back online on 11 June, although the exact duration is unknown, latest Remit data show.

  • The unit went offline due to a reactor trip, according to the Remit.
  • The power plant is anticipated to return on 11 June at 23:59 CET.
  • Further information will be given when available, Remit messages said.
  • The Nordic July Power contract down 3.33% at €29/MWh, although up from its opening price of €28.60/MWh early in the morning.
