AUD/USD has clawed back its initial losses in tandem with the S&P/ASX 200 index and last operates +11 pips at $0.7148, as participants continue to assess geopolitical risks related to the Russo-Ukrainian stand-off.

  • Bulls need a clearance of Feb 10 high of $0.7249 before taking aim at Jan 20 high of $0.7277. On the flip side, sales past Feb 8 low of $0.7107 would bring Feb 4 low of $0.7052 into play.
  • Thursday's labour market report provides the main focal point this week. Elsewhere, the RBA will publish the minutes from their most recent monetary policy meeting on Tuesday.
