Switzerland Allocates More CBC Capacity to Italy in Jao Auction

The monthly JAO CBC auction for June delivery between Italy and Switzerland concluded today, with Switzerland allocating more CBC capacity to Italy on the month according to Jao.

  • Italy offered and allocated 424MW of capacity in the direction of Switzerland for June delivery at €0.1/MWh.
  • Last month, Italy offered 424MW of capacity in the direction of Switzerland with 421MW allocated at €0.11/MWh.
  • Switzerland offered and allocated 532MW of CBC capacity for June delivery in the direction of Italy at €31.79/MWh.
  • For May delivery, Switzerland offered and allocated 344MW of capacity to Italy at €24.25/MWh.
  • The Italian June power base-load contract has widened the premium to the Swiss market to the highest so far this year to €31.98/MWh as of yesterday’s close.
