US TSYS
US TSYS: T-Notes have stuck to a tight range in Asia-Pacific trade, with little
reaction to the latest round of comments from Fed's Mester, as the previously
hawkish non-voter followed up on her more balanced/cautious addresses made in
early Jan, once again citing tighter financial conditions & sentiment as
downside risks. Although Mester ultimately noted that if the economy performs as
she expects, the fed funds rate may need to move "a bit" higher.
- Meanwhile, Fed's Powell & Clarida met with Trump & Mnuchin, which provided
little in the way of fresh insight/headline flow.
- Little in the way of notable flow has been observed in the space, with yields
a touch lower across the curve.
- The Eurodollar strip trades 0.25 to 1.0 tick higher across the whites and
reds.
- T-Notes last 121-24+, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields last 2.713%.
