Taiwan To Sell 5-Year Bonds Today

TAIWAN

Taiwan Ministry of Finance will sell TWD 35bn of 5-Year bonds today, results due at 0430GMT/1230CST.

  • The bond will will be issued on January 13, 2021, and the maturity date will be January 13, 2026.
  • According to the National Treasury Administration (NTA) of the MOF, only central government bond (CGB) dealers are allowed to take part in the auction this time. Since 2014, the minimum bid-winning amount of each CGB dealer has been set at 0.3% of total CGB's issued in the previous year.
  • In 2020, the amount issued was $535bn, meaning a minimum bid of $1.6bn (rounded to nearest $100m) in 2021.
