Tangguh LNG Train 3 Aims for First Shipment by End June

The Indonesian Tangguh LNG project's Train 3 is in the commissioning process and aiming for the first shipment by end-June, according to Indonesia's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif on 3 March.

  • Tangguh LNG project currently has a combined 7.6m mt/year production capacity over two trains with the third expected to bring the total capacity to 11.4m mt/year.
  • The facility is one of our new LNG export projects expected online globally in 2023 with a combined capacity of 1.0Bcf/d according to EIA.
  • The other projects for 2023 are the Greater Tortue Floating LNG (FLNG) offshore Mauritania and Senegal (0.3 Bcf/d capacity), the Tango Floating LNG offshore the Republic of Congo (0.1 Bcf/d capacity) and Sengkang LNG in South Sulawesi, Indonesia (0.1 Bcf/d capacity).
