Tankers Are Waiting at Forcados Oil Terminal

Three Suezmax crude tankers are waiting to load from Shell’s 400kbpd Forcados terminal in Nigeria, which has been halted since 12 July after a sheen was detected at a mooring facility, Bloomberg tanker tracking data showed.

  • Bad weather has delayed the investigation into the possible leak.
  • A diving support vessel is expected to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday to continue the investigation and plan repairs, according to a notice seen by Bloomberg.
  • Forcados exports average around 225kbpd so far this year according to loading programs.
