US VIEW: TD analysts said that "despite a fair bit of market interest, we do not
expect any significant policy pronouncements for either the ECB or the Fed at
this week's Economic Policy Symposium in Jackson Hole."
- They add that Fed Chair Janet Yellen "will kick off the conference on Friday,
August 25, at 10 AM EDT / 3 PM BST, speaking on "Financial Stability." We expect
a high-level discussion that does not advocate for hiking on financial stability
concerns even as inflation remains low. There is some risk markets could read
this hawkish implication into her remarks however."
