Testing session high against the Yen

  • The Dollar remains on the back foot since the EU cash Govies open, following the overnight trend, with very little change.
  • The Kiwi is still the best performer, with the currency finding some support ahead of the 0.6100 figure and just ahead of the 2023 low at 0.6085.
  • NZDUSD is back above yesterday's high, and resistance will be seen at 0.6187 initially.
  • {au} The Aussie has been under pressure of late, fall in Iron Ore, softer core CPI, and the Risk off tone, have all been the cause, and the currency has recovered from yesterday's worst levels.
  • EURAUD has fallen back below 1.6700 and at session low.
  • EURAUD failed to break the 1.6800 handle yesterday , falling short of the October 2020 high at 1.68277, the main initial resistance.
  • Only the Yen is in the red, with Treasury futures hovering at their session low (tick up in Yields).
  • Resistance in USDJPY is at 133.94, Yesterday's high.
