THAILAND: Labour Ministry Still Aiming to Raise Minimum Wage on October 01

  • Reports suggest that Thalaind remains set to raise the daily minimum wage for some professions to 400 baht on Oct. 1.
  • Thai language newspaper Thairath was citing Thailand's Labour Minister and indicated the wage committee will hold two meetings this month to finalise details before any official announcement.
  • Reports also suggested the salary adjustment will also be applied to certain business establishments.
