AUSSIE: The Aussie opened in Asia at $0.7821 toward the lower side of the
$0.7808 to $0.7877 range witnessed yesterday, where softer commodities and
better-than-forecast US data placed the antipodean on the defensive. Westpac's
Leading Index for July (0030GMT) and Q2 Wage Price Index (0130GMT) provide the
event risk for the session, Westpac's LI last 0.14%, while wage prices are
expected unchanged at 0.5% q/q and 1.9% y/y. Domestic demand has been cited
around $0.7800 which fits in nicely with the technical landscape, key support is
seen at $0.7784 (38.2% $0.7329-$0.8066 rise), while hourly resistance is located
just ahead of $0.7850. Aussie was last at $0.7822.
