AUSSIE BONDS: The Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM) will today
sell A$400mln of the 2.25% 21 November 2022 Bond, issue #TB153.
- The line was last sold on April 27 2018, for A$500mln. The sale drew an
average yield of 2.4294%, a high yield of 2.4325%, with 0.6% allotted at the
high yield. There were 39 bidders, 13 of which were successful & 9 were
allocated in full.
- The line has $A10.5bln outstanding with a modified duration of 4.21 years.
- In outright yield terms the bond sits virtually unchanged compared to when it
was last issued, after operating in an 11bp range. 2.0bp steeper.
- The line looks a little cheap on the relative value/zero curve front, and
offers decent carry & roll on a comparative basis.
