AUSSIE: The Australian Q1 CPI print and latest round of trade war headlines have
pushed AUD/USD 3-month 25-Delta risk reversals away from the highest levels seen
since June 2018 over the past few weeks, with 3-Month AUD/USD implied volatility
ticking away from the lowest level seen since January 2018 in the process.
Similar moves have been seen across the 1-month measures of the aforementioned
metrics.
- Increased bets on RBA rate cuts (OIS price a ~48% chance of such a move at
today's meeting at writing) and worry over the global trade backdrop have driven
demand for AUD/USD calls puts relative to calls.
