JGBS
JGBS: The broader defensive feel to Wednesday's NY session provided some support
for JGB futures in overnight trade, with the contract going out 5 ticks above
Tokyo settlement levels.
- Wednesday saw the IMF lower its forecast for Japan's 2020 GDP to -5.8% from
April's forecast of -5.2% due to the growing impact of COVID-19. The Fund's
Japanese GDP growth forecast for 2021 was revised down to +2.4% from April's
+3.0%.
- Focus today turns to 20-Year JGB supply.
