OIL: The broader risk-off flows has left WTI & Brent trading around $1.50 softer
apiece at writing.
- There has been plenty of stories for participants to digest outside of the
latest deluge of trade war headlines.
- Friday saw RTRS sources report that "Russian oil producers have received a
request from pipeline monopoly Transneft to reduce oil output by 900,000 tonnes
until May 7 amid severe export disruptions due to crude contamination."
Meanwhile, the Baker Hughes rig count data revealed 2 additional active U.S. oil
rigs in the latest weekly count. Friday also saw Nigeria's Bonny Light Nembe
Creek Trunk pipeline re-opened
- Elsewhere, the weekend saw the Deputy Iranian Oil Minister reveal that the
country has mobilised all its resources to sell oil in the "grey market."
