DOLLAR-CANADA: The broadly firmer USD provides fresh appetite with a move to
C$1.2859 and seen approaching resistance from yesterday's high (C$1.2861). The
Ichimoku cloud top sits just behind at C$1.2876, opening a move toward
C$1.2891/97 (Mar21 low/61.8% C$1.3125-1.2528). BoC Governor Poloz and Senior
Deputy Governor Wilkins are scheduled to appear before the Senate Standing
Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce later today. Their remarks are expected
to mirror what was said on Monday that inflation above its target will only be
temporary.
