DOLLAR-YEN: The dollar has taken out Friday's Y109.40 high to post a top so far
of Y109.45. Risk-on seems to be the main theme, with upbeat Japanese economic
data released earlier, firmer US rate yields, S&P e-mini up 0.37% and Nasdaq
e-mini up 0.55%. Resistance lies at Y109.56 (Aug9 low and now res), supply is
then touted from Y109.85 to Y110.00. Traders also note a large option expiry for
today at Y110.00($1.19bn) that may act to contain the near term range.
