DOLLAR-YEN: The early action saw the dollar pressured lower from around Y112.70
to Y112.46. Euro-yen sales was the catalyst amid reports of Spanish riot police
were using force to stop the Catalan referendum. The move is proving to be a
knee-jerk reaction with the dollar moving back to Y112.65. Japan's Q3 Tankan
surveys (2350GMT) provide the event risk for the session, most economists are
looking for maintained strength. Resistance lies at Y112.73/74 (Intraday high,
Sep29 high), while Asia's low of Y112.46 is initial support, a break opens
Y112.22 (Sep29-27 lows). Dollar-yes was last at Y112.66
