BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: The early part of today's Asia-Pacific session has been rather
quiet, but worries re: slowing global growth remain in the backdrop.
- T-Notes have stuck to a very tight range and last trade unch. at 123.20+. U.S.
cash Tsy yields are generally trading a touch lower across the curve, with
10-year yield last at 2.497%. Eurodollar contracts are trading unch. to 0.5
ticks lower through the reds.
- JGB futures last seen at 152.96, 8 ticks above settlement. Cash yields are
sitting 0.2-0.6bp lower across the curve. Muted reaction was noted to the
release of Japanese PPI & core machine orders. The Nikkei 225 has opened on the
back foot and trades ~0.8% lower at typing.
- Aussie bonds have played catch-up to Tuesday's move in U.S. Tsys and are
trading 2.3-2.9bp lower across the curve. YM last seen 2.5 ticks higher at
98.630, XM also trades 2.5 ticks higher at 98.120, while YM/XM has edged higher
to 51.50. Bills are trading unch. to 3 ticks higher through the reds. Worth
noting the AOFM will offer A$900mn of the 2.75% 21 Nov 2029 Bond at an auction
later today.
