KIWI: The flightless bird opened in Asia at $0.7275 toward the lower side of
yesterday's $0.7252 to $0.7371 range, where risk-aversion amid the US/N. Korea
tensions and intervention rhetoric from RBNZ undermined the kiwi. NZ Business
Manufacturing PMI (2230GMT) and NZ Food prices (2245GMT) provide the modest
event risk for the Asia session. Local traders expect the kiwi to consolidate in
the high $0.72's ahead of key economic data, with US CPI due later tonight.
Support is noted at $0.7247/52 (July13-Aug10 lows), while hourly resistance is
located at $0.7293. Kiwi was last at $0.7275.
