KIWI: The flightless bird opened in Asia at $0.7237 at the lower side of
yesterday's $0.7230 to $0.7312 range, where upbeat US Empire Manufacturing and
Retail Sales data underpinned the greenback. There is no data in Asia likely to
influence direction, local traders anticipate sideways consolidation with a mild
downside bias. Initial support lies at $0.7216 (Jul12 low), with further support
seen just below at $0.7202 (Jul11 low and last significant low), while
resistance is now found at $0.7355 (Daily cloud top). Kiwi was last at $0.7236.
