KIWI: The flightless bird opened in Asia toward the middle of the $0.7082 to
$0.7131 range witnessed yesterday, where despite a pick up in US rate yields,
sentiment remains bearish to the US dollar. There was no discernible reaction to
last night's Global Dairy Auction, where milk powder price index rose 4.2% and
the Global Dairy Trade Price was up 2.2%. There is no economic data or scheduled
events in Asia likely to influence direction, sideway range-trading is
anticipated ahead of the European open. Above yesterday's high resistance is
noted at $0.7169 (50% fib $0.7558-$0.6781 decline), while yesterday's $0.7082
base is initial support. Kiwi was last at $0.7101.
