JAPAN: The latest round of weekly international security flow data revealed that
Japanese investors flipped to net selling of foreign bonds (Y428.3bn), with the
4-week rolling sum of the measure moderating to +Y761.2bn from +Y1.9163tn
- Elsewhere, foreigners were net buyers of Japanese bonds for a second
consecutive week (Y913.9bn) after the monstrous round of selling of selling that
was seen 2 weeks ago. This has allowed the 4-week rolling sum of the metric to
moderate to -Y566.2bn.
- Finally, foreign investors were net buyers of Japanese stocks (Y1.0725tn) for
only the third time in the last thirteen weeks, racking up the largest round of
net purchases seen since April.
