FOREX: The launch by North Korea of a ballistic missile that flew into Japanese
airspace prompted wide-spread risk aversion, with the Japanese yen as the main
beneficiary on safe haven flows. Dollar-yen plummeted from Y109.26 to Y108.34
before recovering as Tokyo players entered the fray. Dollar-yen was last at
Y108.80. Aussie plumbed lower from $0.7970 to $0.7906 on Aussie-yen supply
before recovering to $0.7939 and was last at $0.7927. Meanwhile, Euro-dollar is
currently at $1.1968 and Cable at $1.2934, after trading in respective ranges of
$1.1956 to $1.1986 and $1.2922 to $1.2940.
