CHINA: The Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs jointly
announced Monday that China will forbid importing coal, iron, iron ore, lead,
lead ore, and aquatic and marine products from North Korea starting Tuesday, the
Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on its website on Monday. For any such
cargo that arrived at Chinese ports before that date, China will not impose
restrictions, the statement said.
