AUSSIE: The pair opened in Asia at $0.7967 toward the lower end of yesterday's
$0.7957 to $0.8066 range, where profit-taking and better than expected US
durable goods data saw some of Aussie's FOMC gains erased. Australian Q2 PPI
provides the event risk for the Asia session, last was 0.5% q/q and 1.3% y/y.
Interestingly, the Aussie stalled precisely on technical support, 0.7959 marks
the 38.2% fib on to the $0.7786 to $0.8066 rise, a break below opens $0.7926
(50% on the same move), while hourly resistance is noted at $0.8002. Aussie was
last at $0.7967.
