GOLD: The precious meatal pared back all of yesterday gains in the European
morning and early New York, as the US dollar made gains across the board. The
price drifted to session lows of $1271.49 before getting a small bounce and
grinding towards $1273.
- A sharp drop in the price as investors get out of yen and chf, as the price
drops to a new intraday low of $1267.78. Some traders have indicated the move is
related to the launch of Bitcoin futures.
- Bullion remained in consolidation mode after printing the session lows,
grinding to recovery highs of $1271.06. The PM remained underpinned as the
dollar remained buoyant ahead of the release of FOMC tomorrow.
