GLOBAL MARKET/OPINION: The rate of increase of cases inside China continues to
slow, shifting market focus to the risks of an outbreak elsewhere. A continued
rise in the number of cases in Italy has raised concern, with cases also
reported for the first time in South America after a confirmed case in Brazil.
China's ability to contain people's mobility has been called into question after
Beijing discovered a Coronavirus positive ex-Prisoner had left Wuhan and had
been transported to Beijing despite the city remaining on lockdown, according to
reports in the Global Times.
CORONACOUNT UPDATE:
- Total cases in China rose by 415 to 78,073. 52 new deaths to a total of 2,715.
- Total cases in South Korea rose by 115 to 1,261. 1 new death to a total of 12.
- Total cases in Italy rose 34 to 357. No new deaths which total 11.
- Total cases in Iran rose 44 to 139. 3 new deaths to a total of 19.
