FOREX: The USD edged lower in early dealing this week although ranges were
contained amidst a glut of national holidays in Asia & the US.
- USDJPY continued to hold in the lower 106.00 region, as EURUSD & GBPUSD posted
marginal gains.
- The commodity currency bloc was aided by higher oil prices and buoyant
regional equity markets, although follow-through was limited across the board.
- Focus this week is set to fall on a trifecta of central bank releases, with
the minutes from the latest RBA, FOMC & ECB meetings all due for release.
- Elsewhere a deluge of Fedspeak, rounded off by Friday's testimony from Fed
Chair Jerome Powell, is likely dominate.
