EURO-DOLLAR: The USD, having traded with a slight softer tone through the Asian
session, picked up fresh demand into Europe allowing EUR/USD to press down to
fresh intraday lows of $1.1466, with traders turning attention fully onto the
Italian budget and the effect it is having on bund-BTP's. Rate met willing
buyers into the dip but have only been able to edge rate back above $1.1470, the
underlying tone continuing to look a tad soggy. Support seen into Monday's low
of $1.1460, with further support noted close behind into $1.1450.
