FOREX: The USD is ending the week as the strongest of the G10 currencies, not
only shaking off the post NFP volatility, but also poised to close on some
important long term technical levels, most notably against the CHF and GBP. This
has been achieved even with a bounce back in risk appetite as equity markets put
in a strong rebound at the end of the week, and the Fed's move to a more
"symmetric" inflation target this past week's FOMC meeting. Although US 10-year
yields have remained range bound this week, the pullback has remained limited
keeping the trend towards higher yields in place and the potential for another
move above 3.00% very much on the cards.
