DOLLAR-YEN: The USD regained its poise overnight on extended react to US
President Trump's announcement to pull the US out of the Iran nuclear deal. As
UST yields firmed and looked to challenge the 3% area, the DXY printed fresh YTD
highs of 93.26. USDJPY squeezed to Y109.64, before light profit take sales eased
ahead of Europe. Resistance is expected on approach to Y110.00, opening a move
toward the 200-dma (Y110.20). Support at Y109.15/03 (50%/61.8% Y108.65-109.64).
Very quiet on the US calendar today with main highlights from PPI (1230GMT) and
Wholesale Inventories (1400GMT). US final demand PPI is expected to rise 0.3% in
April after a 0.3% gain in March.
Option-expiries: Y108.10/20 ($404mn), Y109.90/00 ($644mn).
