STIR
STIR: There has been limited movement in STIR futures this morning with price
action broadly in a 0-2 tick range. The data calendar is light and political
newsflow has not moved the meter.
- Short sterling futures have largely traded up 1.0-1.5 ticks. Despite the
recent Supreme Court ruling against the UK government's prorogation of
parliament, the Brexit endgame remains highly uncertain.
- The Euribor futures strip has steepened with whites/reds up 0.5-1.0 ticks and
blues down 0.5-1.0 ticks. The announced departure of Sabine Lautenschlager from
the ECB executive board has fuelled speculation about divisions among monetary
policymakers, but will have no impact on the near-term trajectory of policy.
- Eurodollar futures are 0.5-2.0 ticks higher with blues outperforming
whites/reds/greens.
