US TSYS
US TSYS: There has been little in the way of inspiration for Tsy traders, with
Fed non-voter Kashkari offering his usual dovish remarks heading into early
Asia-Pacific hours. This came after voter Bostic & non-voter Harker offered
little new in front of the FOMC May meeting Minutes due Wednesday. This week's
key focus, outside of the Minutes, comes in the form of Fedspeak. With
participants set to eye both the Minutes & Fedspeak to assess the Fed's
conviction re: the inflation overshoot concept that was formally introduced in
the May meeting's statement, which highlighted that the central bank's inflation
target is indeed symmetric.
- Tsys have edged higher, with the curve sitting a touch flatter, while T-Notes
marginally bettered Monday's high. Although the space now operates off of best
levels.
- The Eurodollar strip has operated in a quiet manner, with the white & red
contracts last trading unchanged to 0.5 tick better off.
- HK was closed for a market holiday which affected liquidity.
- T-Notes last at 118.29, Tsy ylds: 2Y 2.566%, 5Y 2.893%, 10Y 3.054%, 30Y 3.191%
