DOLLAR-YEN: Touched an extended high of Y112.10 in earlier Asian trade (Y112.09
high Friday before close around Y112.02) before it drifted off to Y111.89 in
early Europe. Risk appetite continues to keep rate buoyed, aided by further
positive noises concerning US-China trade talks and a firm Empire State reading,
though the afternoon rally faded around Y112.07. Since then USD/YEN has settled
back close to its 200-wma at Y111.98, the rate having closed below this line
Friday when it was coming through at Y112.04. Resistance now seen at
Y112.10-14(intraday high and YTD high Mar05) a break to expose next resistance
at Y112.30 ahead of Y112.50-60. Support Y111.90/85 ahead of Y111.60/50.
