Trade Surplus Widens to Record High in November

HUNGARY
  • Hungary trade surplus widened to EUR 1718m in November, the highest since at least 2001, from EUR 1003m in October. Imports fell 5% m/m while exports rose 1% m/m.
  • Finance Minister Varga will speak to reporters at 0900GMT/1000CET after the debt agency launched a benchmark dollar bond sale. That deal was priced late yesterday afternoon. $2.5b of the 12Y benchmark was priced at +120 (IPT +200 area).
  • Unemployment rate (Prior: 4.1%) and PPI data (Prior: -6.6% y/y) are on the docket tomorrow.
