US DATA PREVIEW: Traders are looking toward the week's end, as Friday brings the
August US nonfarm payroll employment report. The MNI poll of economists has a
180K median estimate for the jobs report, and 182K Aug. NFP private payrolls and
4.3% jobless rate.
- JPM economists said on August jobs that "as most labor market indicators
continue to look upbeat, we forecast a gain of 200,000 jobs in next week's
August employment report, with the unemployment rate steady at 4.3% and average
hourly earnings up 2.5% oya."
- Credit Suisse projects a +200K jobs gain, +190K private NFP gain, and 4.3%
jobless rate. 
- Amherst Pierpont's Stephen Stanley expects +170K Aug. jobs, 160K private NFP,
4.3% jobless.
- Mizuho Steven Ricchiuto: expects +175K Aug NFP, 4.4% jobless rate.  
- HSBC economists expect +180K Aug. jobs gain, 4.3% jobless rate 0.1%, avg hrly
earnings gain.
