Moderate futures volume (TYZ>395k), long end outperforming, yld curves paring
some of Tue's steepening. SPX has bounced off late overnight lows to mildly
higher, near middle of range, Gold softer, mild bounce for West Texas crude
after cratering >7% yesterday.
- Focus on Consumer Price Index (0.3% est) today.
- Overnight flow includes spec acct buying in 5s and 7s, real$ selling cash 10s.
Swap flow, two-way in short end earlier followed by better paying in 2s around
3.0976%, two-way front end curve plays in 2s3s and 2s5s, light deal-tied paying
in the mix.
- Eurodlr futures, front end bid evaporated after 3M LIBOR set +0.0129 to
2.6290% (+0.0109/wk).
- Tsy cash/ylds: 2Y 99-30.75 (2.893%), 5Y 99-15.25 (2.987%), 10Y 99-27 (3.141%),
30Y 100-09.5 (3.358%).
